For over 50 years, the Ritz Theatre provided entertainment and a sense of community for the citizens of Winter Haven and surrounding areas.

In the future it can once again provide the setting for film, business meetings, children’s programming, special live performances, civic events, private parties, contests and pageants, religious meetings and school related activities.

The vision for the Ritz Theatre in the next millennium is that it will be the focal point for a wide variety of community activities, providing much needed space for everything from classical films to family reunions.

Once again its walls will reverberate with the joyful sounds of songs and laughter, perhaps some tears and even shouts of joy. It will once again be a center of community cultural and social activities. And, with this, it will bring people to downtown.

Once again the Ritz Theatre will be a cornerstone of our community, bringing together the citizens of Polk County in a myriad of activities.
